Out of sadness and in great despair I beg to reveal thyself
Ye reckless, imperious, belligerent, bathing in thou wealth
Behold stone guardians, creatures of the depth, rulers of the air,
Green elders, beasts of the land, children of red clay: becom’th aware!
Unable to subdue the radiance thou lingam permeates
Its power all-pervading, devouring the flesh it excoriates
Thou countless tongues scorching all to ashes, leaving thou shadow-mark
Spreading terrifying blazing death, extorting life from its spark
Like rainbows with an illusive end, nothing thou not circumvent
All arrayed to stop ye will be slain, endless sorrow, dreadful pain
Hast thou ignorant men lost thy compassion for the fabulous?
Can thy not see? Can thy not hear? Why can’t thy tell the truth to us?
Let thyself not be persuaded by the deception of control
For it will be life on Earth paying an irreversible toll
With folded hands I appeal to those men: performeth thou duty!
Protect and maintain our multifarious magnificent beauty
